Hori is an honorary title for a tattoo artist in Japan. Jerry jokingly chose his own title Hori Smoku (holy smoke.)
Inspired by the oriental patterns, layout, sophistication and coloring, Sailor Jerry was the man who took the classic Americana flash and incorporated the asiatic styles in his own work, born from his years of travel on the high seas.
